Long Battery life

The lifetime of the lithium ion batteries can be found in mobile phones, PDAs, UMPCs and notebook computers isn't endless. However, you can make it longer.

The ugly truth

Batteries are chemical labs and even if you use them in perfect condititons and the highest care possible, they will get worn sooner or later. They just loosing the ability to keep their power.

The more times the battery has fully recharged the more the battery get worn. Or you can say the the more time you use your device on battery the earlier the devices battery get worn.

First charge

The first charge is important for the battery and your device too. The battery has to be charged long time, 12-16 hours first time to use all the chemicals it has. Some says that the polymer batteries don't need the first big charge but specialist says it's good prctice to do it with the LiPoly batteries too. Note, that you have to wait until the battery reaches it's critical level (around 5%) before start the first big charge. The first charge also calibrates your devices power meter.

Hot and Cold

Both high and cold temperature shorten the lifetime of the battery. In real life the latter happens more often. When you are accessing broadband internet or doing something else that heats up your device, you have to keep in mind that overheated device can overheat the battery too which is very bad.

Switch Off

This applies to mobile devices. Recharging battery while the device is switched off makes recharge time shorter.

Don't Stop!

If you started to charge a battery try to don't abort the charging process. It can cause inaccurate power level indication and can decrease some batteries lifetime too.

When Neccesary

It's a good practice to keep your device on charger when you are actually using it, but not the best practice to keep it on charger when you are not. Better detach or swith off charger when you are not using your device, but only after it is fully charged.

Stuck pixels

Stuck pixels are often incorrectly referred to as dead pixels, which have a similar appearance. In a dead pixel, all three sub-pixels are permanently off, producing a permanently black pixel. Dead pixels can result from similar manufacturing anomalies as stuck pixels, but may also occur from a non-functioning transistor resulting in complete lack of power to the pixel.[citation needed] Dead pixels are much less likely to correct themselves over time or be repaired through any of several popular methods.[citation needed]

Stuck pixels, unlike dead pixels, have been reported by LCD screen owners to disappear, and there are several popular methods purported to fix them,[4] such as gently rubbing the screen (in an attempt to reset the pixel), cycling the color value of the stuck pixel rapidly (in other words, flashing bright colors on the screen), or simply tolerating the stuck pixel until it disappears (which can take anywhere from a day to years). While these methods can work on some stuck pixels others cannot be fixed by the above methods. Also, some stuck pixels will reappear after being fixed if the screen is left off for several hours.

Create LT15i 3.0.1.A.0.145 Generic Hong Kong.
Create a Generic UK LT15i 3.0.1.A.0.145.

Root Without Bootloader Unlock

Root Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 Without Bootloader Unlock

There are several stages to do the rooting summary:

1. Doing Downgrade to firmware version 2.3.2 GENERIC GLOBAL. This is because the firmware you will not get OTA updates that need to rooting.
2. Doing rooting the Global Generic version 2.3.2 with gingerbreak
3. Do the OTA update
4. Changing the Global Generic Firmware Firmware of your country, without flahing.

The following tutorials:

1.Downgrade

see flashing XPERIA Arc
download Global Generic Firmware 2.3.2.

When To Downgrade sure sign of "Wipe Your Data" on the check. because if we do not delete the UserData, then we can not do OTA updates.

2.rooting gingerbreak

1. Install gingerbreak
2. go to settings -> applications -> Development and check the USB debugging and stay awake.
3. open gingerbreak
4. select Root and wait for it to reboot.
5. 2.3.2 firmware is in the root.

3.OTA update

1. go to settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.
2. select Update Now.
3. wait for the download OTA update, if it is the arc will reboot, and the image appears to mark the package arrow box. it was a sign is being installed OTA update already downloaded.
4. if completed, then the Arc you update to 2.3.3 already, and still in a state of ROOT.

To perform OTA update we should not modify the file system at all. so technically after the downgrade, do direct root with gingerbreak, then immediately do OTA updates. Do not install the application before doing the OTA, to prevent the system to edit.

4. GLOBAL to change the generic firmware of your country.

we do not need to do the flashing, as it works to fool SEUS and PC companion though. so we can change the global firmware 2.3.3 which has in the root to the 2.3.3 firmware of your country in a state of permanent ROOT. because it does not need to do flashing.

easy way, we need to change the customization only number of Global code into your country code. term is called by BRANDING / DEBRANDING firmware.

1. we must know the global customization 2.3.3 and 2.3.3 number of your country.
2.3.3 Global = 1247-1061_R12C
Indonesia = 2.3.3 1247-3057_R8C

2. explorer on the arc root install 2.3.3 which has in the root.
3. go to / system
4. mount R / W
5. build.prop edit with a text editor
6. search setting like the following:
ro.product.name = LT15i_1247-1061
ro.build.fingerprint = SEMC/LT15i_1247-1061 /
ro.semc.version.cust = 1247-1061
ro.semc.version.cust_revision = R12C

7. Change Being like this:
ro.product.name = LT15i_1247-3057
ro.build.fingerprint = SEMC/LT15i_1247-3057 /
ro.semc.version.cust = 1247-3057
ro.semc.version.cust_revition = R8C

8. reboot arc.
9. Enjoy your country Firmware 2.3.3

if you not believe, you can test yourself. by way of updates via SEUS. That's because the system has a flashing firmware SEUS is only appropriate regional.
eg:
2.3.2 UK will be able to update via SEUS 2.3.3 UK
2.3.3 UK via SEUS will be able to reflash the UK 2.3.3
means that if the firmware on the plug into the SEUS:
2.3.2 Indo Through SEUS will be able to update 2.3.3 Indo
2.3.3 Indo Through SEUS will be able to reflash the Indo 2.3.3

note: if you flash using SEUS, it means that root will be lost. and you must try the root from the beginning again (downgrade).
